OUR POST

The San Diego Aviation Exploring Post is a newly formed group for young adults in San Diego with an interest in aviation or an aviation career. Although participants are mostly from North County San Diego, we welcome youth ages 14 to 20 years interested in Aviation Exploring from anywhere in San Diego county to be a part of Post 120.  We do have one Explorer that journeys up from Chula Vista to participate!

Exploring leaders volunteer their time to provide real-world career experiences for young adults.  The priority of Exploring

is gaining practical experience in a career field.  To provide that experience we use a mix of discussion, guest speakers, videos, field trips, and ... most importantly ... as many on site (in aviation facilities) and hands on events as we can schedule. The result is a program of activities that help youth grow and develop as they pursue their special interests in the field of aviation.

Our adult advisors are from all walks of the aviation industry and are are eager to share their knowledge and facilitate experiences for Explorers in their fields including: airline pilots, air traffic controllers, airport managers, airframe & powerplant mechanics, drone operators, private jet services, corporate aviation and military aviation.
