VISION STATEMENT
To provide positive and meaningful real-world aviation career experiences and leadership development opportunities for post teenagers and young adults.
WHAT IS EXPLORING?
Exploring is Learning for Life’s career education program for young men and women who are at least 14 (and have completed the eighth grade) or 15 years of age but not yet 21 years old. Color, race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, ethnic background, economic status, and citizenship are not criteria for participation.
Exploring’s purpose is to provide experiences to help young people mature and to prepare them to become responsible and caring adults. Explorers are ready to investigate the meaning of interdependence in their personal relationships and communities.
AVIATION SCHOLARSHIPS
National Aviation Exploring Committee awards scholarships to recognize excellence among Aviation Explorers studying the technologies and the skills needed in the field of aviation. More info on the National Aviation Explorer Scholarships
OUR ACTIVITIES
Aviation Career Exploring combines some classroom training with aviation field trips. You'll get to experience firsthand what it’s like to be a pilot, aircraft mechanic, flight engineer, or air traffic controller.
Explorers learn about the educational requirements for careers in Aviation and will receive tangible advice on steps to take now to prepare and position themselves for a successful career in the field of Aviation.
